Властный человек, поднявшийся из низших слоев организованной преступности, враг его семейства и предполагаемый крестный Авриль. Габриэль вынужден самостоятельно мстить за своего отца, Улисеса Сантуарио, сосредоточившись на главных привязанностях Монсеррат: Марбелье и Авриль.

CARISSIMA. This is the love story between Avril Zurli and Gabriel Santuario. The story line begins with Gabriel finding out that his father has been murdered and the main culprit of this crime is Montserrat Vallemorin (a.k.a. Moncho). He is a very powerful man with deep roots in organized crime, an adamant enemy of Gabriel’s family and - to top it all - he’s Avril’s “godfather”. Gabriel finds himself in the position of carrying out a plan to revenge the death of his father – Ulises Santuario – especially focusing on Montserrat’s two loves, Marbella, a girl he raised as his daughter and Avril, his supposed “godchild”.

Avril is a young recently graduated doctor who can’t find a job but who will not accept the help that Moncho offers her. He too, is a well-known cardiologist and owner of the best cardiology center in the country. Avril will not accept anything that comes from Moncho because of the ill treatment the man has given the people she loves and believes are her parents, and also because she suspects he’s involved in illegal activities. On the other hand, Moncho adores Avril and tries to show it in any possible way thus making Marbella extremely jealous. Marbella has grown feeling hatred and resentment against Avril, the one she believes has stolen the love of her father, and will do anything possible to make Avril’s life miserable.

What Marbella doesn’t know is that Avril is Moncho’s flesh and blood daughter born from a relationship he had with Thania Guzman before marrying Yermani Burgos. Moncho forcibly took the child from Thania and placed her under the care of Antonio Zurli and his wife. He is an Italian immigrant who left his country escaping from the Mafia and was helped by Moncho to settle in Venezuela hiring him as his gardener. Moncho keeps Avril’s true identity a secret to protect her from his enemies, especially his wife’s family. When Avril was born, Moncho owed large amounts of money and he gave into Alvaro Burgos offers – a very rich a powerful man – who approached him to marry his only daughter Yermani, who was pregnant of another man. Moncho’s commitment was to recognize that child as his own daughter in order to spare the family of any embarrassment.

On the other hand, Thania Guzman – Avril’s mother – had another daughter with Moncho but he never found out about this one. She kept it a secret so he wouldn’t take this daughter, too. Adriana is the name of Avril’s sister and she was given to a Colombian couple – the Libordo – to be raised. Adriana will also fall in love with Gabriel.

Moncho still visits Thania – who is now known as Esmeralda Aquino – the owner of a nightclub called “The Pink House”. She fiercely debates between the love and the hatred she feels for this man.

Regarding Gabriel, he had left his house very early in his life because he did not want to be involved in the acts of violence that surrounded his father, no matter how

much he loved him. He counted on the help of Erasmo, Ulises right hand, and after years he returned from abroad under another name: Miguel David Montalvo, which is how Avril and Marbella will get to know him. His change of name will come very helpful when he decides to carry out is plan of revenge since no one will know that he is Ulises’ son. However, love will become a big problem for Gabriel’s plans since he falls madly in love with Avril, and he will have to experience the terrible debate between his duty and his feelings.

Later on in the story, Jose Tomas Urriola will come into the picture. This mysterious young man also has grudges against Moncho; he too blames him for his father’s death although it was a suicide. Jose Tomas will also fall in love with Avril, and she will fell very attracted to him after the pain of Gabriel’s betrayal.
All this and more are the ingredients of this passionate love story in which love will have to overcome and sort out an obscure destiny…

CARISSIMA. Es la historia de amor de Avril Zurli y Gabriel Santuario. Historia que se ve truncada, cuando Gabriel se entera de que su padre ha sido asesinado y el principal sospechoso es Monserrat Vallemorín (alias Moncho), hombre poderoso que se mueve en los bajos fondos del crimen organizado, enemigo de su familia y supuesto “padrino” de Avril. Gabriel se ve conminado a llevar a cabo la venganza de su padre, Ulises Santuario, enfocándola especialmente en los dos grandes amores de Monserrat: Marbella, su hija de crianza, y Avril, su supuesta “ahijada”.

Avril es una joven médico recién graduada que busca trabajo infructuosamente, despreciando, sin embargo, la ayuda que le ofrece Moncho, que es también un afamado médico cardiólogo, dueño de la mejor clínica del país. Avril no acepta nada de su “padrino” a quien desprecia por el trato de sirvientes que le ha dado a los que cree y ama como sus padres, y porque sospecha lo turbio de sus actividades y negocios. Moncho, por el contrario, se desvive por Avril y trata de demostrarle su cariño de todas las maneras posibles, lo cual, lejos de proporcionarle el amor fraternal de la bella joven, despierta los celos enfermizos de Marbella, que se siente desplazada en el cariño de su padre por Avril. Marbella crecerá llena de odio hacia Avril, por considerar que le quitó algo de su pertenencia y tratará, por todos los medios a su alcance, de hacerle la vida desgraciada para vengarse de su sufrimiento.

Lo que Marbella no sabe, es que Avril es la verdadera hija de Moncho, habida en una relación con Thania Guzmán antes de su matrimonio con Yermaní Burgos. Moncho le quitó la niña a Thania y se la entregó a Antonio Zurli, un inmigrante italiano que se vino de su país huyendo de la mafia y a quien Moncho ayudó a escapar y a establecerse en Venezuela, bajo una identidad falsa y empleándolo como su jardinero. Moncho oculta la verdadera identidad de Avril para evitar que sus enemigos, y especialmente la familia de su esposa, quieran asesinarla. Cuando Avril nació, Moncho tenía una gran deuda de dinero y decidió dejarse “comprar” por Álvaro Burgos, hombre rico y poderoso, para casarlo con su única hija, Yermaní, que estaba embarazada de padre desconocido, con el compromiso de reconocer esa hija como suya para evitar el deshonor de la familia.

Por otra parte, Thania Guzmán, la verdadera madre de Avril, tuvo otra hija de Moncho, de lo cual éste nunca se enteró al ella ocultárselo para evitar que se la quitara, como lo hizo con la otra. Esta niña, cuyo nombre es Adriana, se la entregó a una pareja de colombianos, los Libordo, para que la criaran. Adriana, siendo hermana de Avril sin saberlo, le disputará el amor de Gabriel.

Moncho frecuenta a Thania, conocida ahora como Esmeralda Aquino, dueña de un lujoso Night Club llamado “La Casa Rosada”, quien se debate fieramente entre el amor y el odio que siente por este hombre.

En cuanto a Gabriel, éste había huido de su casa siendo muy joven, pues no quería verse envuelto en los hechos de violencia que rodeaban a su padre, a pesar de quererlo mucho. Luego, contando con el apoyo de Erasmo, la mano derecha de Ulises, y después de pasar varios años en el extranjero, regresó al país bajo un nombre falso, Miguel David Montalvo, que es como lo conocerán Avril y Marbella. Este cambio de identidad lo favorecerá a la hora de llevar a cabo sus planes de venganza, ya que nadie sabe que es hijo de Ulises. Pero como en toda gran historia romántica, el amor complicará los planes de Gabriel al enamorarse perdidamente de Avril, y sumirse en el tormento entre su deber y sus sentimientos.

Más tarde aparecerá José Tomás Urriola, un misterioso joven que también tiene cuentas pendientes con Moncho, a quien culpa del suicidio de su padre, y que atentará contra su vida. José Tomás se enamorará de Avril y ella se sentirá atraída por él, una vez decepcionada por la traición de Gabriel.
Todo esto y más formarán parte de esta apasionante historia, donde el amor deberá imponerse para tratar de sortear un fatídico destino...
