DAYDREAMING.
From penniless
immigrant to millionaire heiress—Emilia Olivares undergoes this
drastic transformation not by an unexpected stroke of luck or
fairy-tale magic, but through an evil scheme that traps her in a web
of lies and deceit. And so, what was simply a daydream for a humble
young woman becomes a nightmare that changes her life forever.
As an illegal
immigrant in the United States, Emilia has few options. In order to
help support her family, she is forced to work as a maid. However, her
situation does not prevent her from dreaming of a better life.
Beautiful, sweet and noble in spirit, Emilia one day meets the man who
could make her dreams come true: Felipe Reyes.
Intimidated by the
fact that Felipe is very rich, and ashamed of her social standing,
Emilia does not reveal her true identity, but rather becomes a mystery
to the young man. After just a few dates, they fall in love—but she
decides to disappear from his life.
Fate will bring them
face to face again when Emilia becomes entrapped in a complex lie.
Coerced by her greedy mistress, Roberta Lizalde, Emilia assumes the
identity of Roberta’s stepdaughter, Andrea, who is confined to bed
with a terminal illness. The reason is that Andrea’s father, Roberta’s
deceased husband, made his daughter the only heir to a fortune—with
the condition that if she should die before her 24th birthday,
everything will go to charity. Because Andrea has very little time
left to live, Roberta needs someone to take Andrea’s place and give
her control of the inheritance, so she wickedly manipulates Emilia
into doing it.
Now pretending to be
Andrea, Emilia meets Felipe again, and the budding love they once
shared rekindles into a raging fire of passion. But reality catches up
with Emilia soon enough, as Felipe’s viciously jealous girlfriend,
Monica, sets out to uncover her rival’s deception, opening Felipe’s
eyes to Emilia’s true identity. From this moment on, Emilia faces a
turbulent succession of events that lead her story to a totally
unexpected ending.

De inmigrante pobre a heredera millonaria…
Emilia Olivares experimenta esta drástica transformación no por un
golpe de suerte ni por magia de cuentos de hadas, sino a través de
un maquiavélico plan que la atrapa en una maraña de mentiras. Y
así, lo que fue simplemente un sueño de una chica humilde se
convierte en una pesadilla que cambia su vida para siempre.
Como inmigrante ilegal en los Estados Unidos,
Emilia tiene pocas opciones, y se ve obligada a trabajar como
sirvienta para ayudar a mantener a su familia. Pero como soñar no
cuesta nada, su situación precaria no le impide imaginar una vida
mejor. Hermosa, dulce y noble de espíritu, Emilia un día conoce al
hombre que podría hacer realidad sus sueños: Felipe Reyes.
Intimidada por el hecho de que Felipe es muy
rico, y avergonzada de su bajo nivel social, Emilia no le revela
a Felipe su verdadera identidad; más bien se convierte en un
misterio para el joven. Después de salir juntos varias veces, se
enamoran perdidamente… pero ella decide desaparecerse sin dejar
rastro.
El destino los pondrá frente a frente de nuevo
cuando Emilia ya esté enredada en un complicado embrollo.
Coaccionada por su codiciosa patrona, Roberta Lizalde, Emilia
asume la identidad de la hijastra de Roberta, Andrea, quien debe
permanecer en cama a causa de una enfermedad mortal. Resulta que
el padre de Andrea, el difunto esposo de Roberta, le dejó a su
hija una fortuna—con la condición de que si ésta muriese antes de
cumplir 24 años, el dinero iría a organizaciones benéficas. Ya que
a Andrea le queda muy poco tiempo de vida, Roberta necesita a
alguien que sustituya a Andrea y le dé control de la herencia. Por
eso manipula malvadamente a Emilia para que lo haga.
Ahora, haciéndose pasar por Andrea, Emilia
vuelve a encontrarse con Felipe, y el amor naciente que sintieron
antes se convierte en un vivo fuego de pasión. Pero la dura
realidad no tarda en alcanzar a Emilia, ya que los celos perversos
de Mónica, la novia de Felipe, la impulsan a descubrir el engaño
de su rival, abriéndole los ojos a Felipe sobre la verdadera
identidad de Emilia. A partir de ese momento, Emilia debe afrontar
una turbulenta serie de acontecimientos que llevarán su historia a
un final totalmente inesperado.
